is available for children and adults who find it difficult or
unpleasant to swallow tablets or take the regular minerals. As
part of a daily health plan, Tender Care provides a balance of
minerals and trace minerals - all essential to maintaining good
health.
The flavored minerals
are economical, easy to administer, and pleasant tasting. One
or two teaspoons daily will help bring your body into the proper
balance, and improve many functions.
The most prominent minerals
are:
CHLORIDE:
Nerve, muscle, and all other cells and tissues of the body need
chloride. Chloride is essential for the production of hydrochloric
acid in the stomach.
MAGNESIUM:
Magnesium mobilizes certain enzyme systems in the body, especially
energy producing systems. It is essential to the maintenance of
an adequate potassium level, and potassium is involved in the
muscle function of the heart. Magnesium is also involved in blood
coagulation. A deficiency can contribute to clotting.
The use of alcohol, oral contraceptives, the excessive consumption
of bread, refined sugars, or sodas can cause a magnesium deficiency.
Proper dosage of magnesium - 400 mg. daily - helps energy levels,
lipid and protein synthesis, and acid balance.
POTASSIUM: Regulates the heart beat,
maintains fluid balance, and helps muscles contract. This essential
mineral is leached from the body by coffee, cortisone, diuretics,
laxatives, stress, alcohol, refined salt, and sugar. Potassium
is essential for water balance, muscle contraction, nerve transmission,
heartbeat regulation, glycogen and protein synthesis, and proper
kidney function.
SULFATE:
Sulfate is needed for the proper activity of amino acids, and
is an indispensable companion to the work of protein in the body.
It serves a critical role in the detoxification of the liver.
Sulfate is a required mineral for proper hair and muscle structure.
LITHIUM:
Although no Daily Value has been established by the, researchers
believe that the daily requirement would be in the 2-3 mg. a day
range. As all human tissue contains some levels of Lithium, it
plays a number of roles in the body. Used for years in the treatment
of depression, studies show that it can also prevent behavioral
alterations due to social isolation and confinement.
